Subsector Strellia Lore (Part 3)

The Eldar

Unbeknownst to the humans was that the Eldar had long considered Entara and portions of Subsector Strellia part of their empire. The Craftworld Eldar frequented the planet and had hidden away many artifacts in preparation of “what was to come”. With the fall of their race to the Dark Prince coming unexpectedly, the Eldar had not had the chance to return to Elleem (the Eldar name for Entara) and secure that which they left before the original anomaly struck. But not all was forgotten…

Farseer Teldrim of Craftworld Nofosos had long since been tasked with the retrieval of the sacred artifacts their kin had left behind. These artifacts would help their race survive and would allow the Eldar to once again repopulate planets without fear of Slaanesh. Among the artifacts were special field destabilizers which nullified the effects of the Warp. Another artifact worked as a defense mechanism that destroyed the necrodermis of which Necrons are made. The Eldar were convinced that obtaining such artifacts would allow them to reproduce them for use on multiple planets and potentially entire systems. The Seer Council of Nofosos had simply bided their time until they could regain access to Elleem and Teldrim could execute his plans to help save their people.

Using an old Webway Portal, Farseer Telrim has sent a vanguard to set up an encampment and secure an area for the rest of their forces.  He has entrusted his top lieutenant, the Warlock Mortire with doing so as quickly as possible before the mon-keigh (i.e. humans) have a chance to react.  With any luck, they’ll be able to keep the forces of the mon-keigh occupied using guerrilla tactics.  The Farseer has every kind of aspect warrior at his disposal; however Eldar Defender Guardians and their weaponry make up the bulk of his forces.  In addition a detachment of Wraith constructs (Eldar that once lived on Elleem) wish to join the battle, if anything to see their home one last time.  It is even said that even the venerable Wraith Knight Endel may join in search of ancient Spirit Stones said to be found among the artifacts.

While the Eldar may have the gift of foresight, they are not truly all knowing.  They see many paths and the truth is difficult to divine from the visions alone.  Farseer Telrim has studied the writings of the original Eldar inhabitants of the planet more than any other of his Craftworld. He needs to figure out the exact location of the artifacts upon his arrival on Elleem using the clues his ancestors left behind.  He knows from the ancient writings that they are hidden in an ancient array of caverns at the base of the mountains.  There are a few other land marks that might be able to help him figure out where to start.  The exact coordinates were never recorded and the buildings were hidden for fear of their dark cousins stealing  the artifacts and taking them for their own use.

Telrim must not fail.

He cannot fail.
